Mazafati dates, also known as Rutab dates, are one of the most famous, tasty and nutritious varieties of dates. The main source of Mazafati is the city of Bam in Iran, where they grow in the dry tropical sun and on fertile soils. They are carefully selected and harvested at the peak of maturity, ensuring that they are of the highest quality. Dates do not contain preservatives or added sulfites – they are 100% natural.
Taste and texture: pulp moisture from 15% to 35%, a natural delicate taste that can be compared to caramel with palpable notes of chocolate and brown sugar.
Mozafati dates have an attractive, dark brown color and soft, fleshy flesh.
The size of the date fruit is usually between 2,5 and 4 cm.
Mozafati dates are full of vitamins, fiber and potassium. You can eat them straight from the package as a sweet snack or take out the stone and stuff the date with peanut butter or goat cheese.
They are great for baked goods or raw desserts.
