Dates Deglet Nour cannot be confused with other varieties of dates. Their name means “finger of light”, which is a reference to the translucent flesh and smooth structure. Deglet Nour is a medium-sized date with a narrow, elongated oval shape. Their color is varied – from straw to amber with a slightly translucent flesh. They belong to the semi-dry type. They are a bit crunchy but still soft.

Compared to Medjool, they contain less sugar, but offer a complex sweetness with a nutty finish comparable to brown butter and cashew nuts.

Deglet Nour are the most appreciated variety for the highest quality and unique taste.
