Basmati Extra Long Banno rice is a variety of rice native to India, characterized by long, thin grains and a delicate taste. The name “Basmati” comes from Hindi and means “queen of aromas”, which reflects the distinctive aroma and taste of this rice.
Basmati Rice Classic Banno
Basmati Extra Long Banno rice is considered one of the best varieties of Basmati rice, due to its quality and length of grains, which can reach up to 2,5 cm in length. It is a long grain rice, which means that the grains are not sticky and delaminate easily, so you can get delicate and fluffy grains.
Basmati Extra Long Banno rice is often used in Indian, Pakistani and other Asian cuisines as an addition to meat dishes, curries, vegetables or salads. It is also often used to make rice for sushi.
It is worth noting that Basmati Extra Long Banno rice is naturally gluten-free and contains a low glycemic index, which means that it does not cause rapid spikes in blood sugar levels.
Preparation method:
Rinse the rice well with water until the water is clear. Soak for 15 minutes in warm water. Then boil one cup of rice in a pot for 2 cups of water. Cook covered for 9-10 minutes. After cooking, remove the rice from the heat and leave the rice for another 5 minutes. Strain.
